Goals and Process
Amplify the Purpose of ‘A Lehigh for Everyone’
Ensure transparency and accountability between unit-specific inclusion groups and the Vice President for Equity and Community (VPEC) — through regular communication, open invitation to CEC meetings and CEC presence at campus activities and programs.
Offer strategic advice and recommendations on matters of inclusion to the VPEC and unit-specific inclusion groups.
Share resources that highlight the significance of embracing diverse perspectives in all forms while fostering open and honest dialogue.
Communicate successes and accomplishments in inclusive excellence and belonging with the campus community and beyond.
Support the Work
Inventory inclusive excellence and belonging initiatives and projects occurring across campus and the local community.
Consult with the VPEC and unit-specific groups on inclusive excellence and belonging initiatives with intentionality.
Encourage people to share their experiences, perspectives and concerns, and center those from underrepresented groups.
Participate in awareness-building and educational activities on and off campus.
Expand its Reach
Provide opportunities to address the concerns and feedback voiced by members of the community.
Promote the mechanisms associated with inclusive excellence and belonging projects, interventions, assessments and policies.
Advocate for diverse representation across campus and the visibility of underrepresented voices.
Recognize individual colleagues dedicated to the work of inclusive excellence and belonging on campus.
